By accessing or using Legacy Vault at legacy-safe-keep.com, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of Service

Legacy Vault is a digital legacy management platform that allows users to securely store messages, financial asset information, and documents, and designate trusted contacts and beneficiaries to receive them upon a triggering event (such as inactivity or manual release).

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Keep your login credentials confidential
• Obtain consent from any individual before designating them as a trusted contact or beneficiary
• Use the service only for lawful purposes
• Not impersonate another person or provide false information

4. Not Legal Advice

Legacy Vault is a technology platform. Nothing in this application constitutes legal, financial, tax, or estate planning advice. The service does not create an attorney-client relationship. You should consult a licensed attorney, financial advisor, or estate planner for professional guidance.

5. Subscription & Payment

• Access to Legacy Vault requires an active paid subscription
• All fees are stated in USD unless otherwise noted
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Refunds are issued only as required by applicable law
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' written notice

6. Vault Release & Emergency Protocols

• Vault release features are technology tools only and do not constitute legally binding instructions under any estate, probate, or succession law
• We are not responsible for the legal validity or enforceability of content stored in your vault
• We are not liable for failure to deliver messages or documents due to incorrect contact information, spam filters, email delivery failures, or circumstances beyond our control

7. Intellectual Property

All software, design, and technology underlying Legacy Vault is owned by Legacy Vault. You retain full ownership of your personal content (messages, documents, asset notes). You grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the service.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LEGACY SAFE KEEP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL FEES PAID BY YOU IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may close your account at any time from Settings. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days before deletion, unless otherwise required by law.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada (for Canadian users) or the laws of the State of Delaware, USA (for US users), without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration on an individual basis. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit.

12. Changes to Terms

We will notify you by email at least 30 days before any material changes to these Terms. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
